The University of South Carolina Aiken Convocation Center welcomes Trey Songz with special guest R&B superstar Monica on April 9th,2010 at 7:30 pm. The Grammy-nominated artist makes his first ever appearance in Aiken, South Carolina.
Tremaine Aldon Neverson, better known by his stage name Trey Songz was born in Petersburg Virginia.
He was raised as a military brat, but he recognized his singing abilities at the age of 14. Trey Songz was discovered in a talent show, which led him to a record contract with Atlantic Records. He has released three studio albums; “I Gotta Make It” (2005), “Trey Day” (2007), and “Ready” (2009).
“I Gotta Make It”, and “Trey Day”, gave Trey a trio of top ten singles like “Girl Tonight”, “Last Time”, and “Can’t Help But Wait.” When the latter song gave Trey a Grammy nomination for Best Male R&B vocal performance, it marked the validation of the faith shown for Trey by the late Atlantic Records founder Ahmet Ertegun.
Monica, the Grammy Award winner singer and actress who has sold more than ten million copies from her previous albums, will be joining Trey Songz on stage for this special evening.
The ticket prices vary from 41-51 dollars. Junior Bria Ellison says, “I am so excited that Trey Songz is coming to Aiken, I love his music and can’t wait for the concert.” The concert falls on a Friday during Spring Break, which makes it an anticipated event for all of his fans.
