Thursday, September 9
Drama Club will have its second meeting TODAY Thursday, September 9th at 3:30 in the Art Room. All members should attend, especially those interested in helping out with the play publicity and backstage. "We will also discuss t-shirts and auditions." THIS IS THE LAST POSSIBLE DAY FOR DUES TO BE PAID!

The environmental science club will have their first initial meeting TODAYThursday, September 9 in Mr. Farrow's room (312) after school. You can join for $5.00.They will also meet at the football field at 8:00am on Saturday, September 11.

BETA CLUB: All Returning members must must MUST have their applications and dues turned into Ms. Barnes (504) absolutely no later than Friday. No late applications will be accepted. Members are also reminded of the Member-Parent meeting next Thursday, Sept 16 at 7pm.

The Astronomy Club will be meeting Monday, September 13, in room 216 from 3:30 - 4:00 pm. All students, faculty and staff are invited to participate in club meetings and Star Parties. Dues are $5. We will discuss upcoming events and set the date for our first Star Party. Candidates for club officers will be determined at this time. Election of officers will be September 20th. Come join us as we look to the stars.

Student Council is now accepting applications for Freshman Officers and Representatives. Student Council is also accepting applications for Junior Class Officers; juniors must sell 15 magazines to be on Junior Advisory and be eligible for office. Pick up your application in the main office. Applications must be returned to the main office by Thursday, September 16th. Elections will be held on Tuesday, September 21st.

Educational Opportunity Day will be Tuesday, September 14. Seniors will report to the cafeteria at 9:45 and remain until 10:15. Juniors will report from 10:15 until 10:45. Students will have an opportunity to speak to college and military representatives.

First Sophomore Advisory meeting will be on September 20 in the Media Center (library). Don't forget your $10.00 dues!

JUNIORS: Be sure to start selling your magazines! If you sell 5 subscriptions, you get a free ticket to prom. If you sell 15 subscriptions, not only do you get in prom for free, you get to be on Junior Advisory, and they're the ones who do all the fun planning all year long. All the funds you raise goes towards the Prom, so be sure to get out there and sell all you can!! Your money will be collected BEFORE school on Wednesday, September 7, Thursday, September 8, and Friday, September 9 in room 404 or 212. You MUST have the green money form filled out..

SENIORS: Hope you picked up your shirts!! If not, go by and ask Ms. Davey about it in room 402. Extras will be on sale through Ms. Cromwell for $10.00 cash only.

Junior shirts are now on sale for $10.00. See Mrs. Coyle in room 405 or Mrs. Melton in room 212 before and after school only. To purchase a shirt, you must be in a junior homeroom.

There will be an organizational meeting of the National Art Honor Society on Thursday, September 19 in the art room.

The Watson Brown Foundation in Thomson, Georgia, is accepting applications for the 2010-11 Junior Board program. The board works to preserve historic sites. Applicants may be freshman through seniors and must turn in applications by September 13. Applications are available online at the Watson Brown website.

The deadline to register for the October 9 SAT to be given at NAHS is September 10. Students must register online at www.collegeboard.com. Cost of the test is $45.00. All seniors who plan to attend a 4 year university are encouraged to take the October test if they need to improve their score.

The Drama Club will be holding auditions for the fall play on Monday, September 13 and Tuesday, September 14. The location will be announced closer to the date, but most likely will be in the auditorium.

Any junior or senior interested in refereeing Recreational Football contact either the Activities Center at the Rec Center or call (803)441-4311.

The PSAT test date as Wednesday,Oct. 13. Cost is $13 and is available to any student in 9th, 10th, 11th grade. The PSAT is recommended for all college bound students.
