Candace Chavous recieves her crown for Homecoming Queen '09, and queen is exactly what Candace Chavous is. TYJ sat down with Candace to ask her some questions about her recent win.
Sweet and down to earth: thats exactly what a Homecoming Queen should be. This is a perfect describition of Candace Chavous. TYJ recently sat down to talk with the newly crowned queen about her win.
TYJ: Did you always want to be Homecoming Queen?
Candace: Yes I did, it was one of my goals.
TYJ: Did you think you would win?
Candace: Half and half. Part of me thought I would win but then the other part of me didn’t think I would win.
TYJ: Right before your name was called how were you feeling?
Candace: I was cold, shaky, and excited.
TYJ: How did you feel right after they called your name?
Candace: I just wanted to pass out, I was so overwhelmed.
TYJ: What was the whole experience like?
Candace: It was so fun. We did lots of stuff like the bonfire and the T-shirts. I wish it didn’t end so fast.
TYJ: How do you feel about being a representative of the school?
Candace: I feel honored about the whole thing, it’s a blessing.
TYJ: What will you do with the your title?
Candace: I will continue to be the same person that I am now. My personality gave me the crown so I’m not going to change that.
TYJ: What advice would you give to girls who want to be Homecoming Queen?
Candace: I tell them to have a good personality. I would tell them not to get caught up in drama.
