On Sunday afternoon, North Augusta High School ’s PTSA held its annual dress swap for girls that were interested in selling and buying formal dresses. More than 30 dresses were displayed and were waiting to be bought by girls looking for the perfect dress for prom or for any formal affair.

The dress swap was held at the high school’s auditorium from 2:00-4:00 on February 21. The items that were sold were formal gowns for pageants, prom, or social. Casual items or sports wear were also sold. Pam Meier, president of the PTSA, thinks “the dress swap is a good way for the PTSA to raise money. It helps girls find dresses at discounted prices and helps girls sell existing dresses they will no longer use.”

Many girls, like Bailie Sparks, a freshman at North Augusta High thinks “it is very convenient for girls who are interested in buying any type of dress.” Bailie said herself, that she was “getting a dress for the Miss NASH pageant and one for social.”

Selling dresses was opportune for Senior, Megan Fife, who also goes to North Augusta High. “I’m selling my dresses because I could probably earn money for another prom dress that I would use for this year.”

North Augusta High School ’s dress swap was a great success with a great turnout. Many dresses were bought and sold. It was also a great benefit to the PTSA, as it earned $10 from each that came in to buy or sell dresses.
