Games to Watch For: Week 3

Tennessee vs Florida
One of the most successful coaches in the modern age of the SEC goes head to head with an unproven, “junk talking,” and conceited coach that has nothing to brag about. Kind of sounds like we already know who won. Florida coach Urban Meyer and Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin do not get along by any means.

If you didn’t already know, Kiffin took shots at the recruiting of Urban Meyer. Kiffin said that Meyer cheats to get his recruits and followed his speech with this quote: “I’m looking forward to…singing ‘Rocky Top’ all night long after we beat Flordia…”

You can bet if Urban Meyer gets the chance that he’s going to run up the score when Lane Kiffin come to town on Saturday.

Texas Tech vs Texas
Last season’s contest between the Red Raiders and Longhorns was one of the best games in the 2008-2009 football season. The game was decided in the final seconds when Michael Crabtree caught a pass that sealed the win for the Red Raiders. I don’t expect the game to be as exciting, but the emotions involved should make for a fierce rematch.

Florida State vs Brigham Young
When the Florida State Seminoles scheduled BYU, they didn’t expect to be playing a team as good as the BYU Cougars. The Cougars will be getting their final test this season against one of the most dominant teams in the ACC. If Brigham Young wins this match-up, you’ll be sure to see them in a BCS Bowl this season.

Georgia vs Arkansas
Nobody knows the identity of these two teams. Georgia has shown signs of being great and signs of being not-so-great. Arkansas has yet to face a worthy opponent. This match up is probably one of the better ones you will see this season in the SEC.
